Man murders neighbour during argument in Ilorin

A man is on the run after stabbing his neighbour during a disagreement.

Residents of Alawonla community, Okelele area in Ilorin East local government area of Kwara State, were thrown into confusion when one Suleiman Azeez reportedly stabbed his neighbour, identified as Safiu Ibrahim, to death during a minor argument that could not have led to a fight in the first place.

According to eyewitnesses, an argument had erupted between the two in the afternoon of Sunday, March 15, 2015, and in the heat of the disagreement, Azeez dashed into his room and brought out a knife with which he stabbed Ibrahim in the neck.

The victim was rushed to a hospital after he slumped but he was confirmed dead on arrival.

The culprit is said to be on the run while the corpse of Ibrahim had been deposited at the University of Ilorin Teaching Hospital’s mortuary.
