Man beaten to pulp for buying rice with fake money

A man who wanted to play smart by using fake Naira notes to purchase food items in a Lagos market was caught and beaten to a pulp.

This man thought he could get away by buying things with fake notes

Gidi Traffic tweeted that the man never thought the fake money could be detected, had boldly walked up to the rice trader and bought two bags and was almost making it out of the market when the trader realized that he had been handed fake notes and raised an alarm.

The unfortunate criminal was quickly nabbed before he could escape and beaten to a pulp. He was said to have been rescued from certain death by the intervention of some leaders in the market who pleaded that he be handed over to the police.
