"It's an initiative that I salute Serge and Nadira for," he said. "They export our films from Nigeria and bring it to the black community here, just so people can see what is happening back home."

"I think that is important because this generates conversation about how much work is being done at home, how much work gets around Africa, how much collaboration can be done. It just puts us on the map so that people whether black or white can see that there are more positive things happening in Nigeria."

The "Prey" actor also spoke on why it was necessary for him to attend the film festival in Paris.

The festival came to an end with Omoni Oboli's comic movie undefinedwinning the Audience Choice Award.

The award was received by Ramsey Nouah and Kemi Lala Akindoju on behalf of Oboli who was absent.
