Monk’s sex tape causes stir in Vietnam

The video shows a Buddhist Monk having sex with a woman. Buddhist leaders are to meet to decide their line of action regarding the sex tape.

A Buddhist monk in the south-central province of Khanh Hoa is hogging headlines after a sex tape and several sensitive photos apparently of him were leaked online.

The seven-and-a-half-minute edited video seem to show images of a Monk referred to as Venerable Sir from a Buddhist temple in Nha Trang City in Khanh Hoa province in southern Vietnam having sex with a woman.

The images and video have been greeted by a host of criticism while a Local government-run newspaperhas also condemned the man's actions.

Deputy Head of the secretariat of the province’s Buddhist Sangha, Tran Son, told Tuoi Tre (Youth) newspaper on Wednesday that the sangha’s leaders had been briefed about the issue early this week.

“We watched the video and the man looks like that Venerable Sir in our naked eye. But we still have to wait for the result of the Sangha’s meeting,” Tran told Newspaper.

Son also revealed that the Venerable Sir who was seen in the sex tape has turned off his mobile phone since Tuesday afternoon and could not be reached.
