Opposition party condoles with family of Ken Saro-Wiwa Jr.
The PDP has described late Ken Saro-Wiwa Jr. a rare gem that will be missed by all who knew him.

PDP in a statement on Tuesday in Abuja, signed by its Head of Publicity Division, Chinwe Nnorom, for the National Publicity Secretary, described Saro-Wiwa Jr. as a rare gem.
Ken Saro-Wiwa Jr., the son of late Ken Saro-Wiwa, was an author and a journalist, who passed on after a brief illness at the age of 47.
“Ken Saro-Wiwa Jr. is a rare gem that will be missed by all who knew him.
“His short life journey no doubt, recorded successes on many fronts, especially his contribution in journalism and literary work will not be forgotten in a hurry.’’
The party recalled that Saro-Wiwa Jr. was a renowned writer, television producer, environmental activist, and winner of the right livelihood award and the Goldman Environmental Prize.

He was appointed by the former Nigerian President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo in 2006 as his Special Assistant on Peace, Conflict Resolution and Reconciliation.
He also served the late President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua as his Special Assistant on International Affairs.
