Nicki Minaj could be heading into a nasty court fight after news broke on Monday, November 16 that her ex, Safaree Samuels is planning on suing his former flame to get a cut of her discography.
Some sources say that the rapper wants a piece of Minaj's most successful albums — including The Pink Print, Pink Friday and Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded.
Other reports claim the 34-year-old also wants to get his hands on some of the profits from the former Minaj's 'American Idol' judge's hits 'Flawless (Remix)', 'Feeling Myself', and 'Only'. This could be bad news for her collaboration partners including: Beyonce, Chris Brown, Drake and Lil Wayne.
According to Perez Hilton blog, this isn’t the first time Safaree has hinted that he had some input on Nicki's music career.
Apparently, Safaree has proof that he was incredibly involved in the making of Meek Mill's woman' great work. It's said the evidence includes videos of him working with Nicki, voice memos from recording sessions, and footage from various studio sessions. Also, the New York native has witnesses who will attest his claims.
Inside sources say the superstar rapper even named her ex an executive producer on her first two albums which makes it good for Safaree's future lawsuit.
The blog also reports that Safaree has already lawyered up and the lawsuit may be right around the corner.
