34-Year-old woman dies after knife injury

A total of seven individuals were wounded in the attack with four others including the suspect currently in critical condition.

The Swiss police say the woman died from injury she sustained after the attacker knifed her and others with a knife and a burning liquid aboard a train.

The late train commuter reportedly died Sunday morning, St. Gallen canton (state) police said.

According to a BBC report, a total of seven individuals were wounded in the attack with four others including the suspect currently in critical condition.

Police spokesman Hans-Peter Kruesi revealed that authorities are yet to  interrogate the 27-year-old suspect, who is a Swiss man from a neighboring canton.

Kruesi said so far police have found no indications the man had ties to extremist groups.

On Saturday, August 13, 2016, a 27-Years old man attacked passengers in a Swiss train with a knife and a burning liquid aboard a train.
