Regulatory body launches app to determine safe fly zones for drones
The app will show owners of unmanned aerial vehicles-Drones, when and where fly them.
The Federal Aviation Administration(FAA) has finalised plans to launch an iOS app that will show owners of unmanned aerial vehicles-Drones, when and where fly them.
A representative of the Federal Aviation Administration(FAA) said: “Longtime members of the unmanned aircraft community may already know the answer to that question. Someone who got their first unmanned aircraft as a gift under the Christmas tree probably doesn’t.”
This initiative is a starting phase in the development of a regulatory framework that will guide the use of consumer and commercial drones.
The iOS app is called B4UFLY. An Android version is in the works.
