Cable company tells Nigerians to disregard rumoured piracy accusation

The Pay-TV operator has described as frivolous the letter floating around the internet, accusing it of pirating content .

A letter recently floated over the internet claiming to be from BeIN group, one of the sport brands which has its TV channels on TSTV’s bouquet, is accusing TSTV of pirating its copyrighted content.

“DISCLAIMER!! We are not unaware of the messages circulating the social media regarding a letter from beIN Sports and Turner.

“We wish to inform Nigerians that the letters are FAKE and were prepared basically to bias Nigerians.

“Kindly disregard the documents because they are frivolous. TStv Africa…connecting your world!

The social media reactions from Nigerians have been rather lighthearted as well.

Meanwhile, the newly launched satellite TV operators are yet to open shop, still getting around with recruitment of staff, dealers and what not.
