She Leads Africa (SLA) has announced that it is now taking applications for the 2017 edition of its accelerator program.

The program, which is designed to find, support and fund the next generation of entrepreneurs, will run over a 3-month period and it will take place across four locations in Nigeria — Abuja, Lagos Island, Lagos Mainland, and Kaduna.

If you get into the program, She Leads Africa is promising one week residencies — across the four locations — where you will receive training from the SLA team as well as business leaders and experts.

During the residency, you will focus on things like business strategy, growth, marketing, finance and distribution. A lot of on and offline training will be done and an opportunity to pitch to local and foreign investors awaits as well.

“This was like a condensed Masters Program. I am so different now and our company is thinking and strategizing differently,” says Angel Adelaja, Founder of Fresh Direct and winner from the 2016 class.

To make the 2017 SLA Accelerator program happen, She Leads Africa is collaborating with the Work in Progress Alliance — a consortium made up of OxFam, VC4A and ButterflyWorks. The Kaduna side of the program is sponsored by OCP.

If you are interested, be sure to check out the SLA website ASAP. Entries close on June 25, 2017.
