From June 16 to July 5, FIFA players can help decide who will join global cover athlete Lionel Messi on the cover of the game in Australia, France, Latin America, Mexico, and the UK.

FIFA 16 will feature female national teams.

Reports have surfaced revealing that EA is inviting FIFA fans to vote for a local player they want to see on the cover of FIFA 16 in certain regions.

Sources say from June 16 to July 5, FIFA players can help decide who will join global cover athlete Lionel Messi on the cover of the game in Australia, France, LatinAmerica, Mexico, and the UK. Each of the five participating regions have a number of eligible players to select from.

For the Australian cover the three candidates are currently competing in 2015 FIFA Women’s World Cup: Steph Catley, who first represented her country in 2012 and is making her Matildas debut at the Women’s World Cup, Matildas vice-captain Kyah Simon, who represented Australia for the first time back in 2007, and AFC 2014 Women’s Player of the Year Katrina Gorry, who made her debut for Australia in 2012.

According to some sources, voting for the FIFA 16 cover ends on July 5 for all regions. EA will reveal the winners and the actual covers themselves on July 8
