Innovation-focused event to hit Lagos this week

The aim of the tour is to bring together startups and players in the tech industry to look at ways in which innovations can be turned to business ventures.

Media reports confirm that the West Africa edition of the DEMO Africa Innovation Tour will be holding this week in Lagos, Nigeria. The event will take place at the iDEA Hub on May 26, 2016 from 2pm.

According to Innovation Village, the aim of the tour is to bring together startups and players in the tech industry to look at ways in which innovations can be turned to business ventures.

“Entrepreneurs from West Africa will get a chance to pitch to a panel of highly placed individuals in the tech sector,” said iDEA Hub in a statement, according to the report.

At least one startup is expected to be selected for participation in the DEMO Africa 2016 event holding later this year in Johannesburg, South Africa.
