Man, wife, 8 others die in fatal auto crash

Report says seven of them died on the spot while four others were rushed to the Trauma Centre in Ondo town but three others later died.

 

A pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), his wife and eight other members of the church have died in a fatal auto crash that occurred on the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway to Ondo town.

The victims, a Zonal Pastor in Ondo Province 2, Dominic Folorunso Akinseye, 52; his wife, Beatrice; and Pastor Festus Akinsoyinu Fadakinte, were staff of the Adeyemi College of Education, Ondo while the seven other passengers in the bus were members of the church.

They were returning from the monthly camp meeting of the Church.

Other members of the church, who were also returning to their states after the programme were said to have made efforts to free the crushed bodies of the victims from under the stationary vehicle their bus reportedly rammed into in Kajola village near Ore.

The Akinseyes have been buried in their residence located at No 3 Adebusoye Street, Ayeyemi, Ondo.
