Govt declares dusk-to-dawn curfew over incessant killings

According to a statement by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Rufus Bature, the curfew is until further notice.

The Plateau State government has declared a dusk-to-dawn curfew in  Barkin Ladi and Riyom Local government councils of the state over the incessant killings in the areas.

According to a statement by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Rufus Bature, the curfew is until further notice.

“The curfew will be indefinite until the security situation and spate of attacks is effectively checked by security operatives,” it said.

The Chairman of the Association of Local Government of Nigeria and Chairman of Barkin Ladi local government area, Emmanuel Loman, however said the curfew is the only solution to the genocide attacks in the areas.
