2 dead in fresh boat mishap

The ill-fated boat crashed into a log of wood on the water, after which the boat capsized leaving passengers on board to their fate.

 

A fresh boat mishap has left two people dead in Badagry area of Lagos State.

This is coming barely a week after seven people lost their lives in a boat accident in the Ikorodu.

According to multiple reports, the ill fated boat left Ebute Iworo Jetty en route to Daddilowe in Badagry, when the crash occurred around 11 am on Saturday, February 6, 2016.

It was gathered that though 10 people were on board, only two were feared dead as eight others got rescued by emergency workers and local divers.

One of the victims of the ill fated boat was the driver and a woman, whose remains are yet to be located.

Only four of the passengers were reported to have used live jackets, while others did not.
