Another Sierra Leone Doctor Tests Positive

Dr. Godfrey George is the fifth doctor to be infected with the Ebola in the country after the previous four lost their lives to the disease.

The Ebola crisis in Sierra Leone seems to be escalating as yet another doctor has tested positive for the disease.

Dr. Godfrey George is the fifth doctor to be infected with the Ebola in the country after the previous four lost their lives to the disease.

Sierra Leone’s Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Brima Kargbo confirmed George’s positive diagnosis yesterday even as campaign group, Africa Governance Initiative (AGI) warned that the disease was spreading quickly in the country.

George was working as the medical superintendent of Kambia Government Hospital in northern Sierra Leone before he fell ill.

The current Ebola outbreak has claimed the lives of about 200 health workers and the total death toll is almost 5000, according to the World Health Organization.
