The most encouraging part of the communiqué is the decision of the stakeholders to inform the public concerning all power related information.

The light at the end of the tunnel as far as power generation projects are concerned seems brighter.

This is according to the Federal Government in a statement that confirms that the Gas-to-power project will be completed in the second quarter of the year.

A communiqué released by the government reads, “The Nigerian Gas Company, Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation and Gas Aggregating Company of Nigeria, led by the Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Dr. Ibe Kachikwu, shared information on significant gas projects that will improve gas supply, which are scheduled for completion in Q2 of 2016.”

“They also highlighted some of the challenges, especially related to payment and security affecting delivery of gas to the power sector.”
