Market capitalisation drops by N88bn

The Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) resumed on a negative note on Monday, April 27, 2015 as the value of equities dropped by N88 billion due to sell pressure.

Market capitalisation of listed equities recorded an N88 billion or 0.74 per cent loss to close at N11.663 trillion against N11.751 trillion recorded on Friday.

The NSE All Share Index also declined by 168.00 points to close at 34,317.72 points as compared with 34,485 .72 points recorded on Friday.

A review of the transactions showed that investors traded 200.966 million shares worth N2.19 billion transacted in 4,151 deals against 429.103 million shares valued N4.15 billion exchanged in 4,691 deals on Friday.
