Adamawa State Governor, James Ngilari has said that the state has lost N7.3 billion worth of property due to the activities of the Boko Haram sect.

Ngilari stated this on Monday, April 27, 2015, adding that the affected properties were destroyed in five local government areas of the state.

The governor gave the figure while speaking at a Multi Stakeholders Meeting on the return of Internally Displaced Persons to the state.

He however said that the government had not yet compiled the losses incurred in two other local governments in the state.

The stakeholders meeting was organized by the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) in conjunction with the Adamawa State Emergency Management Agency (ADSEMA).
