Fake FRSC officials get dragged to court

Two fake Federal Road Safety Commission officials have been arrested for impersonation.

Barry Asemota and John Jonathan, the accused, were arraigned before a Wuse Zone 2 Magistrates' Court, Abuja.

The prosecutor, Osa Oyeyemi, proceeded to read their charges.

"The accused issued the complainant fake documents and during police investigation, they confessed to the crime, " he told the court.

He added that their offences were against Section 322 of the Penal Code, Laws of the Federation.

However, both pleaded not guilty to defrauding the complainant, Mr Nura Musa, of N10,000.

Fatima Bukar, the Senior Magistrate, adjourned the case to March 29th, while granting the accused bail, along with the sum of N100, 000 each, provided both reside within the court’s jurisdiction.
