My partner of 16 years cheats; how do I catch him?

He denies all this and not too long ago she messaged me again stating that she was seeing that we were still dating.

Dear Bukky,

I was in a relationship with a guy for 16years. One day I got a message on Facebook messenger from a woman. Stating she has been in a 3-year relationship with my soon-to-be-ex.

She showed me pictures of them on dates. He denies all this and not too long ago she messaged me again stating that she was seeing that we were still dating.

She claims she no longer talks to him. I feel she still does because why would she message me again if they don’t? What do you think?

Dear reader,

I think the best thing to do is to talk to your partner again and not the woman.

Like we have expressly advised here once, the other woman is never your problem for it is not with her that you have a relationship and she is not the one who has broken trust with you.

The person to always face, the person to always demands answers from is your partner; the one who made you promises of faithfulness and reneged on them.

In this case, I think you need to decide what you want, but only after considering all the pros and cons. A 16-year relationship has too much invested in it and should not be kicked away on the premise of something unsubstantiated.

If you must leave a cheating partner, please be sure he is actually cheating and not just because he is being alleged of doing so.

But also, so you don’t end up being the fool, I think you should try to keep your eyes peeled enough to get enough evidence to back your decision to dump him.
