The Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II, married 18-yr-old Sa’adatu Barkindo-Musdafa - daughter of the Lamido of Adamawa, Muhammadu Barkindo-Musdafa on Friday, September 25 in Yola.

News of the royal nuptial has been received with mixed feelings by Nigerians which prompted us to conduct a poll concerning the recent controversy.

Readers were asked what they thought about Emir Sanusi's wedding to his teenage bride, and the votes were really close to each other.

Results from the poll revealed that 31.0% of Pulse readers think the marriage isn't right because she's young, 19.4% readers think her should have married someone older, while 23.2% think Emir Sanusi did well going by Islamic laws, and 26.4% readers think it's better than 18-yr-olds prostituting.
