Drake's had the Fab Four in his sights for a little while now. After beating The Beatles out for the record of most songs simultaneously in the Hot 100 , he made reference to them in an appearance on Meek Mill's song "Going Bad." That song was released last December; Drake rapped "I got more slaps than The Beatles," in one of the song's most memorable lines.
Now, a glimpse of his new tattoo appears to show Drake waving farewell as he passes the Beatles in the formation of their classic Abbey Road album.

As soon as a glimpse of Drake's new tattoo got out, Beatles fans online were not happy.
I love drake but thats so tacky and cocky lmfao its not that deep (@____michaella)
Narcissistic tattoo. If people remember a Drake song in 50 years we will gladly eat our words. Transistor (@TransistorBand)
People forget drake songs the summer after they blow up Nader Mustafa (@naderthemustafa)
Some fair points certainly were madeDrake is poking the bear with his tattoo here.
does drake not understand that the Beatles LEGIT had no social media and still did what they did? do you know how hard it was to break through back then and gain international recognition. Annoying ass https://t.co/QjpvNN4oFY tal (@bohemianIou)
the beatles did what they did in 7 years (drake has been in the game 11 years) with no social media advertising and STILL have a lasting impact on the music industry 56 years later.. lets see what drake is in 56 years. but despite that, this is so cocky and childish. https://t.co/0jBi0ncdDw (@ilibabeee)
And.....then, in par-for-the-course-internet-discourse fashion, the discussion starts to get extremely muddled. "does drake not understand that the Beatles LEGIT had no social media and still did what they did?" one tweet asked. "the beatles did what they did in 7 years (drake has been in the game 11 years) with no social media advertising and STILL have a lasting impact on the music industry 56 years later," another stated. Granted his status as a music industry staple for over a decade, and also as a 32-year-old adult man, it's fair to say that that Drake is aware that The Beatles did not have any social media.
In fact, considering the fact that he now has these four people tattooed forever on his person, it would be a good guess to assume he knows quite a bit about them. Drake even rapped admirably on A$AP Rocky's 2012 smash " Fuckin' Problems ," where he said "...Or we can stare up at the stars and put the Beatles on" in the middle of his guest verse. The basic history of The Beatles does not seem to be an issue for Drake.
This is standard hip-hop posturing . Obviously, Drake doesn't have the same dynasty as The Beatles, who literally revolutionized pop music. They aren't really comparable. But regardless, he set a record, and he did something to pay tribute to it. As one of the tweets above alluded, it's really not that deep.
He is waving at em lmaooo this guy Ben (@benthagod68)
