Chris Hemsworth even looks like a superhero when he's off the clock. The Thor actor just showed off his lean, toned torso, visible six-pack abs and jacked arms in an Instagram post while on a trip to Queensland with his wife, Elsa Pataky , their children, and his brother Liam .

Hemsworth, who was most recently seen in the Netflix action movie Extraction , looked like he was in-between takes on the set of his latest project, not several months into quarantine-induced hiatus. But as the 36-year-old actor recently told GQ Australia , after the intense schedule required of being a part of the Marvel Studios machine, this unexpected downtime has provided him with an opportunity to stop and reflect.

"I've spent probably 15 years in what felt like a marathon, a constant workload," he said. "So much of my energy has been geared towards that, and then having kids at the same time, Ive been constantly trying to find the balance. I've really yearned for more stillness and felt a definite need to slow down. Not having a schedule in front of me has made me reposition my values and what's important, and I think most people are having those kinds of thoughts right now."

While he might have slowed down on the work front, Hemsworth has still been throwing himself into his training, whether that's trying out novel at-home exercise regimes during lockdown or working with the team at his app, Centr, on new workouts .

That's probably for the best, as when he does eventually go back to work, the physical preparation is going to be as grueling as ever. Hemsworth confirmed earlier this year that he has been cast in the Hulk Hogan biopic , a role which will require him to put on even more muscle than he did when playing the God of Thunder.
