5 things you must NEVER travel without

If you ever forgotten some of important things you need when you travel, you'd testify that it is a frustrating situation.

While it may be difficult to sort and back everything into our luggage, some essentials are easily overlooked, forgotten, or lost in the rush.

To ensure you do not forget any important things on your next trip, here are some things you should take note of.

1. Passport and other travel documents:

These are the most important things as you can't go anywhere without your required travel documents, they are also easily lost or misplaced.

When travelling, it is important to store your passport and other documents- ID card, medical insurance, visa, yellow card etc in a designated case, bag or purse.

That way, you save yourself the stress of going back and forth to get each document. However, be extra careful not to lose the bag!

2. Comfortable shoes:

Two to three pairs of comfortable shoes are important as they go a long way in making your vacation less stressful.

By packing two or three pairs of comfortable shoes, you keep your baggage light and also get to walk around and explore more easily than with high heels or court shoes that are not really functional.

3. First aid kit/ medication:

Having a stash a basic medical supplies when travelling is a great idea. Having painkillers, mosquito repellent cream, mentholated ointment etc. on hand is very important.

This will help you handle cases of the common flu, headaches or simple domestic accidents without having to go to the hospital.

If you have allergies or if you are on daily medication, this also help ensure that you don't forget your important medicines.

4. Hand sanitizer:

Hand sanitizer is an important hygiene item that you must have with you when travelling. You may come in contact with a lot of germs at the restroom, restaurant and other public places. Where you can't find clean water and soap, you can use the hand sanitizer to stay healthy and germ free.

5. Water bottle:

A water bottle is one more important thing you should have when travelling. It is important to stay hydrated, especially if you are going hiking or going on a safari.
