These foods will actually boost your hair growth

You can load your hair up with all sort of chemicals, but it turns out nothing works quite as well as making your hair grow faster from the inside.

Natural hair treament

Like me, a good number of us have that one friend with enviably good hair we so desire and wished we had, we've probably asked and pleaded with them to share their sacred hair secrets, only to find that the very method that works for them hasn't been of much benefit to us.

You can load your hair up with all sort of chemicals, hair-strengthening shampoos and magic creams, but it turns out nothing works quite as well as making your hair grow faster from the inside.

When it comes to encouraging hair growth, one particular nutrient to pay attention to is protein. Protein is essential for body building as it is the key nutirent responsible for every cell and tissue in the body. It is therefore important to consume protein-rich foods for optimal health, including hair health.

Incorporating these 7 foods into your diet will see your hair improving and growing healthy before you even know it.

1. Eggs

Eggs contain the protein, zinc, and iron that your hair and body needs.

Eggs are an excellent source of omega-3, and biotin (which many people trying to grow their hair take in supplement form).

Hair is composed of 68% keratin protein, so egg protein helps rebuild the damaged hair by filling in the weakened spots along the hair strand that temporarily strengthens the hair.

Zinc benefits for hair includes promotion of cell reproduction, tissue growth and repair of broken tissues and it also maintains the oil-secreting glands that are attached to your hair follicles, thus decreasing their chances of falling out.

2. Avocado

Avocados are high in vitamins E and B and fatty acids, preventing you from hair loss and breakage, strengthening your scalp, and providing that gleam and shine you desire. Vitamin B is necessary for hair growth. Vitamin E helps repair damages on the scalp, which can prevent or slow hair growing.

When applied to the hair and scalp, they have the added ability to stimulate collagen and elastin production.

Sweet potatoes are loaded with beta carotene, the precursor for vitamin A that not only promotes a healthy scalp but helps to keep the hair from becoming dry and brittle.

4. Almonds

Almonds are an excellent source of magnesium and vitamin D, and they are utilized in a variety of cosmetics and creams. These nuts will make your hair grow faster and thicker due to their high biotin content. One cup contains nearly one-third of your daily requirement.
