Ayade chooses Semenitari to perform lighting ceremony

The acting MD/CEO, Niger Delta Development Commission, NDDC, Mrs. Ibim Semenitari is expected to perform the lighting ceremony for the 2016 Calabar Carnival.

Governor Ben Ayade

Ayade, likened Semenitari to a symbol of how the weak can be helped by the strong.

Ayade praised her for her intervention on the critical Calabar-Itu Road, saying she saved Cross River State from economic collapse as the mainstay of the economy is the quarry business.

The quarry business had suffered a decline and begun to lose to Ebonyi State because truckers and movers found it impossible to pass through the road.
