Organisation hosts Africa Fashion Reception

On October 29, 2016, the United Nations Educational, Scientific & Cultural Education (UNESCO) will host the Africa Fashion reception in Paris.

UNESCO will be hosting the global edition of Africa Fashion Reception, Paris later this month.

The event will take place at the UNESCO headquarters located at Place de Fontenoy. This collaboration is as a result of patronage and partnership between Africa Fashion Reception and UNESCO.

An official letter from Irina Bokova, the Director General of UNESCO, addressed to Permanent Delegate of Nigeria to UNESCO, Mariam Y. Katagum congratulates the organizers for the initiative.

The Africa Fashion Reception (AFR) global edition will bring together fashion designers, dignitaries, ambassadors and media from more than 30 African countries to celebrate cultural diversity as expressed through artistic fashion exploits.

The theme of the event is 'Africa is the new inspiration of global fashion'. From September 13 to 15, 2016, the African edition was hosted by the African Union at their Addis Ababa headquarters.

Africa Fashion Reception, organised by Legendary Gold Limited, UNESCO, Atunda Entertainment and African Union Commission, aims to create trade partnerships amongst members of the fashion industry throughout Africa.
