Onalaja pushes see-through, Aso-Oke patch work for presentation

Onalaja brings a fierce Aso-Oke infusion for summer at Heineken Lagos Fashion & Design Week 2017.

The womenswear brand known for her effortless fusion of Aso-Oke into her designs makes a case for the fabric yet again with intricate finishes. From weft woven, patchworks designs, fringed out hemlines all done with Aso-Oke, her collection was what African inspiration put on a global pedestal is made of.

Clearly making a case for sheer flirty looks, she rings in SS18 with a lot of skin and peek=a-boo. Woven perforated Aso-oke slings, woven aso oke patchwork on smock dress were some of the standout pieces from the collection.

Sheer coverup, tiered ruffled mid riff on summery maxis, casual playful flirty bardot embellished body top, 'wooly' bandeau sets, embellished mixed prints, sheer overlay on dresses with graphic bodice, bardot floaty tops, elegant lace skirt paired with tulle bardot with elegant sleeves were also presented.

Sheer lace dresses with pretty appliqués came through and she dared push PVC skirt on the runway while an effortless strategically placed lace dress with fringe hem and a midi sheer lace bodycon crafted to perfection stole the show.
