Nigerian millenial group organize talk to unveil Africa themed "Ibosam"

The theme of this year’s edition is “Ibosam”, which is an Okirika (a tribe in the southern part of Nigeria, West Africa) word for “welcome”.

The African narrative to the rest of the world is a mash up of untold and fairly accurate stories and they want to write a new one with TEDxSurulere.

In the same vein, a group of Nigerian Millennials has come together to organize the first ever TEDxSurulere talk to unveil Africa, the Motherland in its true, rich light.

The theme of this year’s TEDxSurulere talk is “Ibosam”, which is an Okirika (a tribe in the southern part of Nigeria, West Africa) word for “welcome”.

Since the first TED conference in 1984, TED and its affiliate programs like the TEDX talks has grown to serve as conversational backdrops of change and innovation in all spheres of life everywhere.

TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience; TEDTalks involves video and live speakers combined to spark deep discussions of and connections in a small group.

Speakers at the TEDxSurulere include Justin Irabor, Kola Tubosun, Itua Iyoha, Haneefah Adam, Temitayo Ibitoye, Abimbola Oshodi, Amanda Iheme, Kemi Windapo, Buky Williams, Eniola Adewale amongst others.
