Lagos State Ministry of Education initiative launch/press Briefing

The Ready Set Work initiative of the Lagos State Ministry of Education was launched today 31 May, 2016 at a Press Conference at the Landmark Event Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos State.

The Launch marks the official kick-off of the 13 weeks Entrepreneurial and Employability training scheme for final year students of Lagos State owned tertiary institutions.

Dignitaries that were present at the launch include – The Special Adviser to the Governor on Education, Obafela Bank-Olemoh; the Commissioner for Wealth Creation and employment, Mr. Babatunde Durosinmi-Etti; Project Partners, PwC represented by the Operations Manager, Mr. Pedro Omontuemhen and Mrs. Julie Asuzu, Head, Client Marketing.

Others are; the Vice Chancellor of Lagos State University, Prof. Olanrewaju Fagbohun represented by Prof. Fajonyomi; the Rector, Lagos State Polytechnic, Mr. Samuel Sogunro; and the Provost Lagos State College of Health Technology, Dr. Majo Kasim.

Also present at the Launch were officials of the Higher Education Unit of the Lagos State Ministry of Education, representatives of students of LASU, LASPOTECH and College of Health and members of the press.

It was another opportunity to shed further light on the project to all stakeholders as well as announce the relevant timelines for the project.

The Ready Set work project will commence on Saturday 11 June, 2016 at the Lagos State University, Ojo.
