Infertility or inability to get pregnant is a big struggle especially in Nigeria since a woman’s success is often defined by her marital status and her ability to bear children.

Although it is considered a really bad thing, the following should help you stay positive .

  1. Evolving technology- There are a lot more breakthroughs in technology now than there were years back, meaning that technology is improving pregnancy rates year by year.

  2. Better and clearer outlook- There are new individual fertility assessment tests that help gauge the quality and quantity of the actual egg supply of a woman. According to William Schoolcraft, MD, founder and medical director of the Colorado Center for Reproductive Medicine, "with these results, doctors can generally determine whether a woman's eggs will be viable for one, two, or five years, then we can give her some tools to plan her life." This shows that we now have better and clearer ways of treating and understanding infertility.

  3. Higher odds- Due to all the technology we have now and better understanding of the issue, infertility has better odds, and they will keep increasing as the years go by.
