As a matter of fact, coconut oil benefits in skincare, hair care, weight loss, treating yeast infections, improving digestion and increasing immunity against a host of infections and diseases.

And with properties of antioxidants, antibacterial, antifungal and anti-inflammatory, it is classified among the few superfood in the world.

However, we're aware that coconut oil is quite expensive. And as a result, a whole lot of people are being deprived of enjoying its benefits.

It is for this reason we've decided to show you how you can make your own coconut oil and start enjoying the miraculous benefits it offers.

Procedure

How to use and store coconut oil

Apart from its numerous health benefit, one major difference between coconut oil and other oil is that it has a high melting point.

Coconut oil is solid at room temperature and melts only when the temperature rises considerably.

It is often in this form, and there is no need for yo keep it in your refrigerator.

On the other hand, If you are using coconut oil for topical purposes like hair care, melt the oil if it's in a solid state by keeping the bottle in the sun or soaking it in warm water.

You can also take some oil out and put it in a small bowl and heat the bowl over a flame. The microwave should not be used.

Then, take the oil on your palm and apply it to your hair.

However, if its to be consumed internally, simply replace butter or vegetable oils with coconut oil in your recipes.
