It's high time to love coffee, specifically the grounds that remain after brewing it. It turns out that it is a very versatile and cheap cosmetic.

These seven home cosmetics can be a quick and easy way to achieve spectacular results and reuse old coffee grounds. You'll be surprised you haven't done this before!

Coffee is a classic drink that appears in our cups almost every day. But stimulating the mind is not the only benefit of coffee. Coffee is loaded with antioxidants, phenols and is known for its anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties, making it an excellent body care product.

Your everyday little black dress is full of coffee grounds that usually end up in the trash bin - which is a pity, because you can use them to make amazing cosmetics. Not only are you helping to save the planet, but you are also doing your skin and hair a great favour. Your wallet will thank you too.

The caffeine contained in coffee can not only stimulate your mind, but also dilate the blood vessels under the skin, which stimulates circulation and improves the condition of the skin. Increased blood flow can minimise the appearance of cellulite and leave your skin firm and taut. These are not all the advantages of coffee grounds. Be sure to try these simple DIY cosmetics recipes.

One of the most popular ways to use coffee in the fight against orange peel is a home scrub prepared from fresh coffee grounds. Mix one teaspoon of grounds with hot water, coconut oil or egg yolk. Exfoliate using the mixture. For best results, anti-cellulite peeling should be used several times a week. If you don't want to prepare such a recipe and prefer simpler solutions, you can mix the coffee grounds with olive oil or shower oil.

Coffee's anti-inflammatory effects may be particularly beneficial in reducing bags and puffiness around the eyes. A coffee mask or compress can be a surprisingly effective solution for getting a fresh, youthful glow first thing in the morning! Making this cosmetic is child's play!

Mix fresh coffee grounds with egg white or cold water. Apply the eye mask and leave for 15 to 20 minutes, then rinse with cold water. The combination of coffee and cold perfectly reduces swelling and dark circles under the eyes. The cold will reduce swelling, and the active ingredients contained in the grounds will improve blood circulation, skin tension and minimise dark circles under the eyes.

This trick deserves a gold medal in beauty care. In addition, you can always have the product ready to use at hand. Just fill the ice tray with coffee grounds. Press them lightly and put them in the freezer overnight. In the morning, use coffee cubes to massage the eye area. If you like to use regular ice cubes to reduce puffiness under your eyes, you can add a little water to the grounds before freezing. The effects are similar to those of a mask, but you get a comfortable product and the additional benefits of using a cold compress.

An important part of body and hair care is regular exfoliation of dead skin. This simple procedure, used consistently, can work wonders. Coffee is a perfect addition to your DIY scrub and a great way to use up old coffee grounds. Prepare: ¼ cup of coffee grounds, ¼ cup of brown sugar and ¼ cup of melted coconut oil (you can add a little lemon juice). Mix the ingredients in a jar. Massage into the skin after bathing or into the scalp and leave for a few minutes. Rinse with water. To obtain the best results, it is worth carrying out the so-called cleansing week and use peeling every day during it. Then, all you need is a classic exfoliation schedule, i.e. peeling two to three times a week.

Because coffee grounds do not dissolve in water, they work great as a component of mechanical peeling. They use their properties brilliantly in the fight against cellulite, but they can also be a very effective foot care product. For best results, it is recommended to combine a foot bath and peeling. Start by soaking your feet in warm water for 15 – 20 minutes. Then mix half a cup of coffee grounds and half a cup of olive or coconut oil. Apply the paste to your feet and massage them thoroughly. Rinse with warm water and dry. Don't forget to moisturise to keep your feet beautiful and soft.

If you are looking for a simple solution to naturally darken your hair, coffee may be your saviour. Make a few cups of strong coffee and let it cool down. Once the infusion has cooled, pour it into a bucket or bowl and immerse your entire hair in it. Put on a shower cap and leave the coffee on your hair for at least an hour. The longer you leave the infusion on your hair, the better the effect you will get. Rinse your hair in the shower and repeat the treatment if you want even darker highlights.

Coffee has hundreds of uses and benefits, and the home cosmetics you prepare from it work great and smell even better. Be sure to try it for yourself and you will quickly fall in love with such natural and ecological care.
