Cemetery worker arrested with 2 human skulls in Ogun

A cemetery worker in Ogun State has been arrested with human skulls he had cut from dead bodies for money making rituals.

The tomb raider, Oluwatoyosi Akorede

According to the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Shagamu, SP Moses Aduroja, Akorede was arrested on Sunday night by a police team on stop and search duty when the two skulls were found in his possession.

Aduroja said that the suspect had confessed to exhuming some dead bodies and cutting the heads which he intended to use for money making rituals.

The State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), ASP Abimbola Oyeyemi who confirmed the arrest of Akorede, said the suspect was being interrogated to unravel the reasons for his action.

“The Commissioner of Police, , has directed that the suspect be transferred to the command headquarters, Eleweran in Abeokuta for further investigation.”
