Police arraign woman in court for stealing $5,000

The suspect who was reported to have committed the crime with the help of some accomplices, was granted bail in the sum of N300,000 with one surety in like sum.

The suspect was reported to have carried out the theft along with some acomplices.

Afolayan, who worships at the church, has been charged with conspiracy and stealing.

According to the prosecutor, Godwin Oriabure, the suspect and her accomplices committed the crime in December 2015.

Oriabure  said the suspect used the privilege of being close to the clergy to steal the money.

Afolayan was granted bail in the sum of N300,000 with one surety in like sum, after pleading not guilty to the charge. The case has been adjourned till July 1, 2016.
