34-year old British woman faces jail for getting married to a Nigerian illegal immigrant

A 34-year old British woman is likely to be jailed for marrying a Nigerian illegal immigrant in a sham wedding to help him stay in the UK.

Emma Louise

Emma Louise, 34, already confessed to taking part in a ‘marriage of convenience’ with Kazeem Kolade but she was discovered to have married a second Nigerian man Stephen Akinseye in another sham wedding.

After making enquiries with the Nigerian High Commission, her defence counsel Mark Stuart was able to produce a divorce certificate to prove that Emma’s first marriage to Kazeem Kolade had been annulled, according to Daily Mail.

Evans married Mr Kolade to assist his illegal immigration by deception, so the Nigerian could remain in the UK. And after that was done, they had a divorce.

Mr Stuart described Emma who is also a babysitter as 'a lady of good character.  Although, She does have both physical and some mental health issues.'
