Twitter reacts to the abduction of Ese Oruru, a 13-yr-old girl from Bayelsa

The kidnap and unlawful marriage of a 13-year-old Christian girl, Ese Rita Oruru, by one Yinusa, a man from Kano State is causing serious tension on social media.

The kidnap and unlawful marriage of a 13-year-old Christian girl, Ese Rita Oruru, by one Yinusa, a man from Kano State has gone viral on social media.

Ese Oruru from Urhobo, Delta State lived with her parents in Yenagoa, the capital of Bayelsa, when she vanished without a trace.

Investigations later revealed that she was abducted by Yiunsa who resided in Opolo, also in Yenagoa on August 12, 2015, and eloped with her to Kano.

Yinusa has refused to allow her to return home despite the involvement of the police and the Emir of Kano.

Nigerians have gone on Twitter to protest the release of the 13-year old girl.
