Remains of 12-yr-old boy declared missing in 2004 found in mom's car

A body of a young boy who was declared missing over 10 years ago has been found in his mother's car.

Tonya Slaton hid her son's body in her car for a decade

The Virginia, USA police has made a shocking discovery as the decomposing body of a 12-year-old boy who was declared missing in 2004, was found in his mother's car, over a decade after.

According to Huffington Post, the case of the missing Quincy Jamar Davis was deemed a cold case until the body was discovered in his mother, Tonya Slaton's car and she is being charged with concealing the body of her son.

Slaton, 44, had been due in Hampton General District Court on Monday for a pre-trial hearing, but her appearance has been postponed till September 1, according to court records.

Her child has been missing since 2004 when he was a seventh grader, according to state police.

The remains of the boy were found earlier this month during a routine traffic stop, after a trooper noticed that the license plates on Davis' car were expired, according to state police.

As the trooper was making an inventory of the car’s contents, a black plastic bag was found in the trunk.

The report says after the trooper detected an odor coming from the bag, he opened it and found what was described as a clothed, decomposed body wrapped with duct tape.
