2 security men in prison for raping 15-yr-old girl

Two security guards who abducted and gang-raped a teenager have been remanded in prison.

26-year-old Gabriel Vincent and his fellow security guard colleague, Anthony Oguche, 25, have been ordered remanded in prison custody after the could not meet their bail conditions when they were dragged to an Ikeja Magistrate’s Court sitting in Lagos, for allegedly abducting and gang-raping a 15-year-old girl.

The accused who are residents in Akowonjo area of the state, according to the prosecutor, had lured the teenager to a room in the security post in the house they work in, where they reportedly held her hostage for several hours while taking turns to have carnal knowledge of her.

Their atrocity caught up with them when the girl, on gaining her freedom, reported the matter to an aunt who went to the police to inform them of the rape.

The duo were charged with a three counts of conspiracy, abduction and rape.

When the charges were read to them, they pleaded not guilty and the Magistrate, Mrs. Bola Osunsanmi, granted them bail in the sum of N500,000 each with two responsible sureties.

But they have been remanded in prison pending when they can perfect their bail condition while the matter was adjourned to October 26 for further hearing.
