Man docked over alleged theft of Blackberry Z30

Ajayi said that the accused collected a Blackberry Z30 from one Shina Kamarudeen, with intent to help him fix the damaged parts.

The prosecutor, Sgt. Sunday Ajayi, told the court that the defendant committed the offence on March 9 at about 11 a.m. at No. 18 Ajegunle Spare Parts Market area of Osogbo.

He said the accused refused to repair the phone and converted it to his personal property before he was apprehended.

The prosecutor said that the offence contravened Section 390(9) of the Criminal Code Cap 34 Vol. 11 Laws of Osun, 2003.

The accused pleaded not guilty to the count charge preferred against him.

The Magistrate, Mrs Habibatu Bashiru, granted the accused bail in the sum of N50,000 and two sureties in like sum and adjourned the case till May 3 for mention.
