4 persons die in auto-crash

SP Abdu Jinjiri, the Police Public Relations Officer for Jigawa state confirmed the accident occurred as a result of over-speeding.

SP Abdu Jinjiri, the Police Public Relations Officer confirmed the report on Tuesday, December 20, 2016, at the state capital.

The incident occurred in Kudai Buji village, where the driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle.

According to Jinjiri, 28 passengers comprising of 18 females and 10 males from Kwayakusar in Borno were being conveyed in a bus when the accident happened.

He also reported that three of the accident victims died on the spot, while the other died later at the Rasheed Shekoni Specialist Hospital, Dutse.

The PPRO attributed the accident to over-speeding and advised motorists to refrain from dangerous vehicle maneuvering.
