Police rescue 3 children from child trafficking syndicate

According to Punch the end came for the child trafficking gang after one their victims raise alarm following the sudden disappearance of her children as she was in the saloon making her hair.

It was gathered that one of the suspects had invited the mother of the stolen children aged six months and a two years  old to Umuahia with a promise to marry her.

The State Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Ezekiel Udeviotu, who confirmed the incident, said the child trafficking gang members were arrested after the victim’s statement.

The suspects made revelations that led to the rescue of the two children and one other child who was stolen from her  parents at Umudem, Ikeduru in Imo state.
