Sanusi said that Adeboye has been the one making the prosecution of Akingbola, who allegedly stole over N200 billion from the commercial bank by the EconomicandFinancialCrimesCommission, EFCC, impossible.

The CBN front man claimed that PastorAdeboye’s involvement in the deal and his intervention in getting the judge who was handling the case, JusticeHabeebAbiru, promoted to the CourtofAppeals has truncated the case as that enabled Akingbola escape to the UK as soon as the EFCC indicated their desire to try him.

He was later forced to return to Nigeria, but his prosecution soon fizzled out, due to Adeboye’s interference, according to Sanusi.
