Man keeps father's corpse in septic tank, says he can't afford money for morgue

According to the Daily Post, the body was discovered by the suspect's father, who immediately alerted neighbours concerning his strange discovery.

Before the incident, Udenwa had already revealed to community members that his sister had recently brought over Mr. John Udenwa, aged 83, to stay with him.

It was upon his demise that he stored his decomposing body in the tank.

SP Celestina Kalu, the Police Public Relations Officer in the state has promised that the suspect will be made to face the consequence of his crime.

He is to be arraigned in court under under section 242 of the state criminal code.
