The gory incident happened at the couple's residence at 19, Oloko Street, Eyean Quarters in Uhunmwode Local Government Area of the state, when the 42-year-old man identified as Henry Ekukpe, murdered his 30-year-old wife, identified as Patience, in a tragic circumstances.
According to witnesses, the couple had a quarrel in the afternoon which was settled by neighbours but in the night, they heard screams coming from the apartment of the couple but by the time neighbours could go to find out, they found Patience in a pool of her blood with machete cuts on cut her face, arms and chest, but with Henry no where to be found.

She died before she could be rushed to the hospital.
