Veteran Actor, Harrison Ford score big as hit over $300 Million at the box office on Tuesday, December 23, 2015.

According to , the actor is said to have received a whooping sum of $20 million for his role as ' in the movie.

Ford who played the same role in 1977, has been acting for over six decades and has starred in blockbusters like Airforce One, Indiana Jones Trilogy, Expendables 3 and other movies.

The actor is the highest paid actor for Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Dailymail also noted that Co-stars, Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher were paid in the low seven-figure range, though of course the former can surely boost his coffers by a much higher amount if he has a bigger role in future entries.

Disney are said to have decided to create a 'legacy pay scale' for the original trilogy stars, while newcomers would get much less on a general pay scale.

In this effect, Nigerian-British actor- John Boyega and Daisy Ridley  received between $100,000 -$300,000 for their roles while more established names Adam Driver and Oscar Isaac got paid in the mid-to-high-six figures range.

For John Boyega whose parents are Nigerian, this is the biggest movie he has starred in yet. The young actor played in the Chiamanda Adichie's'Half of a Yellow Sun'.

Meanwhile, the Hollywood Reporter said the film shattered the previous record for best Monday earning that had previously been set earlier this year by thanks to an impressive $40.1 million in earnings.

It also reached $300 million by mid-Tuesday, and could even break the record take for that day set by the actual opening of The Amazing Spider-Man, which pulled in $35 million in 2012.

Among the records it has already broken include the mark for an opening weekend, reaching $248 million in the US and $529 million worldwide.

Surely, Christmas came early for multiple award winning Harrison Ford who is still going strong in the movie industry.
