'Hard work never kills'...join cults, get expelled, WDU VC warns

Newly admitted students of the Western Delta University (WDU), Oghara, Delta State, have been advised to work hard and shun vices while in the institution.

WDU Vice Chancellor, Prof Austin Oviguhe Asagba, gave the charge at the institution’s 8th matriculation ceremony, before administering the matriculation oath.

Asagba warned the students not to breach the oat, urging them to abstain from negatively impacting activities; especially cultism which he said will lead to expulsion.

"To be forewarned is to be forearmed," Asagba said.

"You must imbibe the culture of hard work, it never kills nor does it hurt.”

He told the students that failure to attain 75 per cent lecture attendance would earn them disqualification from examinations.
