Students From 19 Northern States Support Okorocha's Candidacy

A coalition of student and youth groups in 19 northern states have supported Gov. Rochas Okorocha's Presidential ambition.

Governor Owelle Rochas Anayo Okorocha's presidential ambition has been given a boost as a coalition of youth and student groups at the weekend endorsed his candidacy in Keffi, Nasarawa state.

Representatives of several groups from 19 Northern Nigerian states, under the umbrella of the Progressive Youths and Students for Okorocha, declared their support for Okorocha's aspiration as the Presidential candidate for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2015 elections.

In a massive event held in Keffi, the coalition said Rochas is the accepted choice for the office of the President, Leadership reports.

National Coordinator of the coalition, Comrade Kasim M Kasim, said Okorocha's ability to connect with the youth and elderly hows that he is able to restore peace and and lead the rapid development of the country.

Kasim said the youth's declaration of support for Rocha's candidacy is in furtherance of their resolve to participate in deciding the future as active partners in the democratic process.

52-years-old Rochas, President/Founder, Rochas Foundation Inc, is a known Philanthropist.

He was a Presidential candidate on the platform of the All Nigeria People's Party (ANPP) in 2003.
