Sociology-cultural group takes on varsity over query
Net-zit Patriotic Front, a sociology-cultural group based in Kaduna, North West Nigeria has called on the management of Kaduna State University (KASU), to refrain from meddling into affairs that those not concern the school.
A statement signed by its spokesman, George Monday, the group said the recent query handed over to one of its Political Science Department lecturer, Dr John Danfulani, over comment he made on the social media was uncalled for.
"KASU should resist the temptation of involving itself into matters outside its jurisdiction," the statement said.
"Ideological leanings, political preferences, religious beliefs and personal life of KASU workers should not be the concern of the management," the statement added.
"What they should focus on is, productivity of employees, the value they are adding to the system vis a vis the aim of the institution. If this query stands, we shall go ahead and take all legal measure and pressure to see that this ethnic-centred agenda don't stand. KASU is for all, not for any particular ethnic or religious group," the group added.
